Enjoy your dinner or coffee on the paddle steamer Helene that departs from Haderslev at noon and moors alongside the Aarø quay at 1.30 pm. Go ashore and stay a couple of hours or more; you can use the fare for returning by the ordinary ferry.

Sailing in the moonlight down Haderslev Fjord with the orchestra ‘Bolværksmatroserne’. An experience of music with the renowned Aabenraa ‘boys’. Friday Aug 12 – departure from Aabenraa Harbour at 6.30 pm – steamer returns at 10.30 pm. Ferry ride with lunch
Departure from Honnørkajen, Haderslev at noon. Helene sails through the beautiful, narrow Haderslev Fjord to the island Aarø – arrival 1.40 pm. Stay for as long as you like on the islands and choose the ferry that suits you back to the fishing town Aarøsund. There is a bus to Haderslev (Sydtrafik). Price including lunch platter: DKK 195,-
Afternoon departure
Departure from Aarøsund Harbour at 2.45 – arrival at Honnørkajen, Haderslev at 4.15. Coffee/tea and cake served during the ride. DKK 145,-

You are not allowed to bring your own food. Children under the age of four are free. Book early – some departures may be sold out. The ordinary ferry departs from Aarø at 2.15 pm, 3.15 pm, 4.15 pm, 5.15 pm and 6.15 pm. The combined fare is valid also for the bus from Aarøsund to Haderslev at 2.27 pm, 3.27 pm, 4.27 pm, 5.27 pm and 6.32 pm. Notice that there are fewer bus departures on Saturdays and Sundays.
Helene’s times of departureDuring the season Helene departs from Honnørkajen, Haderslev to the island Aarø and to Aarøsund (the sound) and sails back to Haderslev. Off-seasonMay 4 – June 26 and August 24 – Sept 18. Departures every day except Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
